Our Story

Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) was registered on November 3, 1967, as a Multi-unit Cooperative Society. The Society is primarily engaged in the business of manufacturing and marketing of fertilizers and allied activities.

IFFCO has grown into a 36,000 crore diversified organization with interests in fertilizers, general insurance, rural telecom, farm forestry, agri-inputs, international trade, etc.

Today IFFCO is one of the largest cooperative societies in the world with a membership base of over 36,000 cooperative societies reaching more than 5.5 crore farmers in India.

1967

Foundation

IFFCO was registered as a Multi-unit Cooperative Society on November 3, 1967.

1975

First Production

Started production at Kalol plant in Gujarat.

1981

Expansion

Established Phulpur plant in Uttar Pradesh.

1988

Growth

Established Aonla plant in Uttar Pradesh.

2000

Diversification

Ventured into general insurance with IFFCO-Tokio.

2021
